Interactive scrollable explainer for Navagis: a Google Cloud Premier Partner reselling Google Maps Platform. Covers who Navagis is, its relationship to Google's product/marketing/sales/GTM teams, why to work through a partner, what it offers, custom GIS solutions built around mapping/routing/analytics, how reselling and onboarding work with a free console migration, how contracting works, and real client work, styled in Navagis' navy and red brand colors with Google's Material type language, sized up for presenting on video calls.

01 / overview

Google Maps Platform, licensed, supported, and built on — in one place

Navagis is a Google Cloud Premier Partner specialized in Google Maps Platform — organizations come to Navagis to license and run GMP, with a plan scoped to what they actually need, one consolidated bill, and hands-on support instead of a self-serve console. Navagis's engineering team also builds custom GIS software on top of it, and supports the Google Cloud infrastructure underneath — but Maps is the focus, not general cloud consulting.

in one line

  • It is: a Google Cloud Premier Partner that resells, supports, and builds on top of Google Maps Platform.
  • It is not: Google — Navagis is an independent company, and a channel between you and Google's platform.

02 / navagis & google

Google builds the platform. Navagis is your partner on top of it.

Google Maps Platform (GMP) is Google's own product: 30+ APIs and SDKs across Maps, Routes, Places, Environment, and Analytics. Navagis doesn't build or own that platform — it's a Google Cloud Premier Partner with a Location-Based Services specialization, which means Google has vetted Navagis to sell, support, and build on GMP at a level most resellers can't. Every API call still runs on Google's infrastructure, under Google's terms; Navagis sits between you and Google to make licensing, billing, and implementation easier.

what the partnership actually means

  • Google-vetted Premier Partner status, plus a Location-Based Services specialization badge
  • early visibility into upcoming GMP capabilities (Places Insights, Population Dynamics Insights, Roads Management Insights, Street View/Aerial Insights)
  • authorized to invite customers to joint Google events (e.g. "Map the Way," Google Chicago)

03 / extension of google's team

An extension of Google's own team

Premier Partner status isn't just a badge — Navagis works in direct, ongoing contact with Google's Maps Platform organization across four functions: product, marketing, sales, and go-to-market. When something changes on Google's side, Navagis usually knows before the rest of the market does, and can put it in front of the right customers immediately.

Navagis Google Cloud Premier Partner
Product teams Early access & direct feedback loop on new GMP capabilities
Marketing teams Co-branded events and content, like "Map the Way"
Sales teams Joint account planning and co-selling into shared customers
GTM teams Coordinated launches for new datasets, APIs, and pricing

04 / why work through a partner

Going direct vs. going through Navagis

Google Maps Platform works the same either way — the difference is you have a line of instant support that Google pays for.

Through NavagisDirect to Google
Personalized plan scoped to your APIs
Dedicated support desks & sales engineers
Optimization workshops to cut cost
ACH / wire / 12-month contract options~
Custom dashboards, apps, and integrations
Still Google's own APIs, data, and SLAs

"~" reflects that Google's enterprise sales org offers some of this directly at large scale — Navagis brings it to organizations of any size, with a dedicated point of contact instead of a support queue.

05 / what we offer

A 360° layer on top of the platform, not just a bill

Anyone can turn on Google Maps Platform directly in Google Cloud Console. What Navagis adds is everything around that: a plan scoped to what you actually need, hands-on support, transparent reporting, flexible payment, and — when you want it — custom software built on top of GMP.

Included with Navagis

  • Personalized plans — pay only for the APIs you need
  • Optimization workshops to cut cost & improve usage
  • Complimentary support desks (GMP + mobility)
  • Real-time usage reporting & budget alerts
  • ACH, credit card, wire, or 12-month contracts
  • 1-on-1 sales engineers for best practices

Not what Navagis is

  • Not a separate mapping product — same Google data & APIs
  • Not a reseller markup on every line item
  • Not required to use Google Maps Platform at all

06 / solutions & services

Beyond the license: custom GIS software, built to spec

Reselling Google Maps Platform is one part of what Navagis does. The other is an engineering team that builds custom software in the GIS space — dashboards, mobile apps, data pipelines, and site-analysis tools — on top of Google Maps Platform. Maps is Navagis's specialization: mapping, routing, analytics, and GIS, with cloud support to keep those builds running.

07 / how reselling works

Same Google product, one bill, one point of contact

Normally, a company turns on Google Maps Platform in its own Google Cloud project and pays Google directly for every API call, metered monthly. As a reseller, Navagis instead provisions and administers that Google Cloud usage on your behalf: you sign a license contract with Navagis, Navagis owns the billing relationship with Google, and you get one consolidated invoice — with support, reporting, and optimization built around it — instead of navigating Google Cloud billing alone.

No markup — Navagis is paid by GoogleYour usage is billed at the same Google Maps Platform rates either way. Navagis earns its margin from Google's partner program, not by adding a markup to what you pay.

the fine print, plainly

  • you're still bound by Google's own Maps Platform Terms — Navagis doesn't replace them, it administers your account against them
  • usage is still tracked and visible in your own Google Cloud Console
  • Navagis is contractually held to the same conditions Google holds itself to as your reseller

08 / onboarding walkthrough

Moving your billing onto the Navagis console — quick, and free

Onboarding doesn't mean re-platforming anything. Same project, same API keys, same code — the only thing that changes is which Cloud Billing account is attached to it, and who bills you. Most customers are fully migrated in under a day, at no cost.

2

09 / how contracting works

One signed contract, usage billed monthly

Onboarding runs on a single document — the Google Maps Platform License Contract — plus a recurring payment authorization. Both Navagis and your organization agree to be bound by Google's own Maps Platform Terms; the only thing the contract changes is who you pay and where a dispute would be heard.

Google's terms = Navagis's termsNavagis and your organization both agree to be bound by Google's own Maps Platform Terms — there's no separate substantive contract layered on top. If you've already accepted Google's Maps Platform Terms, you've already accepted the terms that govern this relationship.

billing mechanics

  • billed the first week of every month for the prior month's usage
  • unpaid after 5 days from invoice = delinquent, finance charges apply
  • you monitor usage yourself via Google Cloud Console

payment setup

  • credit card or ACH must be on file before activation
  • credit card carries a 4% processing surcharge; ACH does not
  • no signature or PO on file = order isn't accepted

Who's actually running on this

11 / get started

Where this starts

Most engagements start with a short conversation about what you're trying to do with location data — not a rate card. From there, Navagis scopes a plan, walks through the contract, and gets your Google Maps Platform usage moved under Navagis's reseller umbrella with reporting and support in place from day one.
